WILD Coaching Staff
Assistant Coach Stacy Kilgore
Head Age Group Coach Alex Reed
Head Coach Luke Egnaczak
Luke Egnaczak is a native of Las Cruces.
He began swimming competitively for local swim clubs and was a member the Las Cruces High School
swim team where he is now a volunteer coach.
He has had great success as an athlete while acquiring a wealth of
knowledge for swimming and an understanding of what it takes to perform at
optimum levels. Luke, a relatively young coach, has already enjoyed a great
amount of success coaching in the state producing multiple New Mexico State
champions, as well as having several of his athletes nationally ranked from
10 & under to the 50 & over age group. Wild is now two years old
and he is proud to continue a program in his hometown that will
provide the youth with a consistently safe, educational, and competitive
environment and is looking forward to helping children develop into the best
swimmers and citizens they can be.
Stacy Kilgore is in her fifth year
of coaching and specializes in developing young swimmers ages 4-12.
This is her second year coaching for Wild. She has a successful
program that promotes a fun strong foundation for young swimmers with the
main emphasis on technique and goal setting.
Alex Reed has been involved with
competitive swimming since the age of 9. Throughout his youth growing up in
Gig Harbor,
Washington
State, Alex swam for the Gig Harbor Peninsula Swim Club where he was elected
by his peer’s as team captain multiple times, consistently set team records,
and routinely placed in the top 8 at the Pacific Northwest Championship
meets. His senior year of high school he was a consolation finalist at
Speedo’s Western Section Championship. He is also the current New Mexico
State record holder in the 50 Meter Breaststroke. Alex attends
New Mexico
State University
with plans on double majoring in Kinesiology and Business Management. Alex,
a Level 2 ASCA certified coach, describes his coaching style as very
race-intensity oriented with a strong emphasis on stroke technique and race
preparation. There are few things he enjoys more than studying stroke
technique and figuring out how an individual can maximize their productivity
in the water. Alex is a very energetic and flexible coach who is not afraid
to try new ideas. Years of experience in the sport has taught him that one
size does not necessarily fit all.
